I’m Back!

Did you think I disappeared?  It was Spring Break here and it was just too darn pretty outside.  Look at these flowers I brought in from the yard, gorgeous!

The painting is coming along pretty slowly in the Craft Room.  Starting up again this week.  I did manage to spruce some things up around here over the break though.  I’ll share those little projects with you this week while I’m painting away on those bookshelves.
First up:
Art Switch-a-roozle!
I found this book a couple years ago and fell in love with the pictures.  I have this thing about birds (and fruit, actually). I just think they are so pretty.

I took my favorite pictures out of the book and popped them in some frames I picked up at Goodwill for $3 each.   Then, I hung them in my kitchen.




I have really enjoyed them there, but they’ve been perched there for over a year and it’s time for a change!

 I picked up these Cook’s magazines at a yard sale for $1 during the Fall.  I just thought the covers were so beautiful.  I knew I wanted to frame them, just wasn’t sure where to put them.  (Notice, it’s fruit!)

When the birds flew the coup, I had the perfect spot!

Oh, and one of the frames fell off the wall and busted, so I had to get new ones.  What do you think of the white?

Here’s the before and after.  Good change?  The hubs predicts the birds will be back soon.  Only time will tell!
